The Procurement Directorate is seeking an outstanding individual to help deliver the on-going development and delivery of its Procurement Services.

The Senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for the technical and operational delivery of a range of procurement support services across a number of customers. They will provide professional leadership, support and expertise across their team and are key advisers to their part of our customer base.

They will also ensure the successful delivery of NEL procurement services and senior support to our customers. The Senior Procurement Manager reports to the Head of Procurement and works collaboratively with colleagues across NEL, especially those in the Contracting and Finance directorates.

The post holder will have significant experience in leading and managing procurement within a large/complex NHS organisation, at a senior management level. You will also have a proven track record of successfully project managing and implementing various formal procurement procedures.

The post holder will also ensure quality, service provision and value for money are at the forefront of their activities and decision making. Highly skilled at working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, and multi-disciplinary colleagues from within and outside the NHS is key to this role.

This is an exciting opportunity where you will also work closely with a range of staff across the organisation, playing a significant part in the successful delivery of procurement services. NEL delivers services over a wide geographical footprint; whilst the role is Waterloo, London based, travel will be required between NEL sites, customer and provider addresses.
