The Health and Justice Support Engineer Role is a 2nd/3rd line support role for the Health and Justice estate across England covering more than 30 Prisons and over 125 Police Custody Suites. The role will involve resolving issues with desktops, servers and network troubleshooting as needed so candidates will need to have a reasonable understanding of Windows servers running on ESXi Virtual hosts and how to troubleshoot issues with both the hosts and virtual servers, as well as network troubleshooting to diagnose connectivity issues, as well as a strong knowledge of Windows client deployment and troubleshooting.

The role will require both office based remote support and onsite support when necessary. This will involve travel to customer sites across England and as such will require Candidates to hold a full UK Drivers Licence and have access to a car whenever needed. The Successful Candidate will also be required to work closely with the service desk technicians to upskill the Service Desk agents where needed to allow greater numbers of first time fixes. The role may sometimes require the candidate to attend site at short notice to investigate and resolve major incidents that cannot be dealt with remotely and may include occasional requirement for overnight stays away from home.
