The NCL POD South Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to play an important role in supporting the Camden and Islington CCGs in managing their local contract portfolio on a fixed term basis until end of October 2019. The role will support contract management of several acute, community and mental health Trusts in North Central London. The role will require the candidate to have excellent knowledge of the NHS national contract, understanding of and ability to analyse activity, finance and performance issues and be able to advise colleagues and managers on use of contractual levers.

The post is part of a wider MDT provides comprehensive acute contract management support (contracting, finance, analytics, performance, and quality) to the CCGs in the NCL POD.

The role will provide the ideal candidate with an opportunity to build or develop their acute contract management skills, form relationships across the NHS commissioning and provider landscape, and offers the chance to be part of a dynamic team.

The role requires both direct interactions with providers and CCGs including attending meetings, producing and presenting papers and reports.

The successful candidate will be expected to work utilising the NHS contract management framework, interpret and analyse complex data, and understand NHS finances. We are seeking an individual with excellent written and communication skills, a keen analytical mind, and a can-do attitude. Experience within acute contract management is essential.
