We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and ambitious communications manager to join our central London based team. You will be integral to one of the biggest NHS communications teams, and will focus on NHS Greenwich Clinical Commissioning Group.

As well as being based at Greenwich CCG in Woolwich, you will also get the opportunity to work from offices in Bexley and may also be working in our offices near London Bridge, Waterloo or Shoreditch.

You will have excellent writing skills and experience of delivering high-quality communications to a range of audiences. You will have skills and experience in most, if not all, of the following areas: media management, engagement or consultations, stakeholder management, PR, digital communications, and marketing, as well as a strong interest in improving the lives of patients.

You will enjoy working as part of a team, and using your initiative, developing new ideas, and managing your own workload. NHS experience is not essential but you should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the health and social care environment, and relevant experience that will enable our team to deliver creative and cost-effective solutions and support.

You will be responsible for providing our clients with effective communications advice, planning and delivery for large and small scale service changes; helping them to develop and maintain productive relationships with local MPs and councillors; contributing to a busy media office, as well as managing and building their digital channels and social media presence.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to the health of local people and communities, whilst being part of a friendly, dynamic and growing team of communications specialists.

NEL advises and delivers expert communications and engagement to a large and growing number of mostly NHS clients in London and the south.

We offer fantastic benefits including 27 days holiday, flexible working, opportunities to learn and develop in a supportive environment, and one of the best pension schemes in the country.
