We are NHS Islington Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). We are a high performing, forward thinking organisation with responsibility for planning, buying and monitoring local hospital, mental health and community services. We are made up of 33 member practices serving a population of around 229,000 with a resource limit of approximately £382million.

We are led by an ambitious clinical and management team, committed to tackling some of Islington’s biggest health challenges to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Islington.

Please note that all vacancies will be subject to a 6 month’s probation period in line with the CCG Probation Policy.

Registered Nurse Governing Body Member – NCL CCG

The five Clinical Commissioning Groups in North Central London (NCL CCGs) – Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington – are merging to form one CCG from April 2020.

In moving to a single NCL CCG, we will provide a single, strong and consistent vision and voice for our partners, and work cohesively as ‘one NHS’, delivering improved patient outcomes and reducing health inequalities.

A new Governing Body will be in place to lead the new CCG – consisting of elected and appointed Board Members.

We are now looking for an individual to undertake the Governing Body role of Registered Nurse in the NCL CCG from 01 April 2020.

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about the NHS and have relevant experience of operating in a leadership role in large and complex organisations.

Candidates should have an understanding of outcomes-based commissioning and have the interpersonal skills and political astuteness to build highly effective partnerships.

Crucially, we are looking for individuals who are motivated to be a key part of ensuring a successful new CCG for North Central London, which maximises the opportunities this will bring to delivering improved health outcomes to patients across North Central London.

Information on the registered nurse role, including the role requirements and time commitment, is set out in the attached candidate pack.

It is envisaged that interviews will take place in mid-February.
