An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for a bright, motivated and experienced individual to join the Continuing Health Care department as a placement officer. Duties will include arranging appropriate care for patients eligible for Continuing Healthcare and Fast Track funding, maintaining accurate records and ensuring the patient’s database is accurate as well as producing letters. The successful candidate will have exceptional organisational and communication skills; they will be required to liaise with providers and arrange care but also communicate with patients and relatives. Some of the communication might be sensitive or distressing in nature and the post holder will need to understand when there is a need to escalate information.

Experience of working in a CHC placements environment would be beneficial, although not essential as a full induction will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is to gain knowledge and experience in the field of Continuing Healthcare When making your application, please use the supporting statement section to demonstrate how you meet the competencies, person specification and the NEL values.
