Are you looking for a change? Are you a RGN Nurse looking for a new challenge?

Enfield Continuing Healthcare team is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated Band 6 Registered Nurse to undertake NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) assessments.

We require RGN Nurses who will focus on assessments and eligibility for NHS Continuing Healthcare and for NHS Funded Nursing Care. You will visit nursing homes and people in their own homes to determine eligibility for CHC and to help organise packages of care. Together with patients, their families and other involved professionals, you will conduct a needs-based assessment using the Department of Health National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare and NHS Funded Nursing Care November 2018 (revised).

It is essential that the post-holders are able to:

  • Demonstrate resilience in working in a complex and challenging environment.
  • Easily adapt to new ways of working within an evolving environment
  • Use their own initiative

The ideal candidate will have registered nursing experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with all relevant partners involved in the patients care.

The ideal candidate will need to be organised and be a self-motivator as they will be expected to coordinate eligibility of continuing healthcare assessments following the national framework. As a band 6 the candidate will be expected to work as part of the team, support junior members of staff in applying the continuing healthcare framework and work flexibly to meet the required needs of the team. Knowledge of the continuing healthcare framework is not essential therefore the ability to grasp new concepts quickly is essential. This role requires an individual who is able to travel to different locations to meet patients and their families.
