Basildon and Brentwood CCG is responsible for commissioning health care in for the population of Basildon, Billericay, Brentwood and Wickford, which has a total population of 264,630.  As a CCG we work in four locality groups, with 45 member practices and work collaboratively with Essex County Council.

Our main providers are:

  • Basildon and Thurrock Hospital (BTUH) – for whom we are the lead commissioner
  • Barking Havering and Redbridge Hospitals (BHRT)
  • North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT)
  • Essex Partnership University Trust Community and Mental Health services (EPUT)
  • East of England Ambulance Service

 

The post holder will  work within the team to implement the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare, Funded Nursing Care and Personal Health Budgets.

 

The post needs to hold a professional registration, but is not confined to being a Registered Nurse (NMC)

 

Key qualities required for the post holder are: Excellent communication and educational skills at all levels in a multidisciplinary forum and with service users and carers. Ability to negotiate in complex situations.

 

The CCG is committed to evolve to provide 7 day a week access to services and therefore applicants should be prepared to work flexibly.

The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
