Continuing Health Care Placement Administrator

Have you ever dreamed of joining an exciting team? Do you want a job where people and quality of service are the organization’s top priority? If you answer yes to the above we have an exciting opportunity for a placements administrator within the Continuing Healthcare Team (CHC).

Clinical Commissioning Groups are the most exciting part of the NHS to be in right now, as clinicians and non-clinicians are working hand in hand to design and commission health and care services. NHS West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) serves a population of 293,000 and we think we’re a bit different because we’ve spent our initial years of existence avoiding the well-trodden path and challenging ourselves to do things differently.

Our direction is clear, and we feel that we have the passion and will to create the model of what the future of the NHS will look like. We want to embed quality across the health and care system as our driving principle and develop a culture where quality is ‘everyone’s business regardless of role or setting. You will play a key role in supporting and delivering this ambition. We are looking for a ‘can do’ person who likes to challenge themselves. We promise to give you the encouragement and space to develop innovative solutions.

The placements administrator will provide support and administrative services to the CHC Team and input data to the CHC database to enable the team to carry out their work effectively and deliver all aspects of their respective roles within the CCG.

The key responsibility of the placements administrator is to contact care providers in line with the CHC care plan to arrange placements ensuring that the provider has the clinical competencies and skills to deliver appropriate care to meet the patient’s assessed needs.

Our patients and their families are important to us and this role involves responding to queries in a sensitive manner which can often be challenging when discussing the outcomes of eligibility decisions, therefore a confident and calm approach to dealing with members of the public is essential.
