Senior PMO  Manager

We are seeking an experienced senior manager to support the system transformation programme management office within the newly established commissioning and performance directorate.  Key to this role will be the ability to work as part of the commissioning directorate to deliver the priorities of integration and collaboration in the NEL area.

The role

This role sits within the Commissioning & Performance Directorate which is responsible for commissioning and transforming healthcare services, contract and performance management.

The Programme Management Office (PMO) provides a robust system-wide programme management approach to identifying, prioritising, and successfully implementing a portfolio of transformation programmes/projects that contribute to the WEL CCGs’ strategic priorities.

We are seeking an experienced manager to play a key role in supporting the Head of PMO in co-ordinating an ambitious programme of transformation. 

Specifically, the post-holder will support the development and roll-out of consistent programme documentation, will provide support on assigned projects and activities within the PMO, ensuring tasks are actioned as appropriate and will co-ordinate and support the assessment of projects / programmes that fall within the remit of the PMO utilising a range of information sources

The post holder will be required to engage with a wide variety of internal and external colleagues e.g. Transformation Managers, Clinical Leads, Directors and other functional leads (e.g. finance and engagement) across the WEL CCGs. They will also be required to work with other partners acrossNorth East London (NEL) as well as borough-based partnerships.

The candidate

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, and will have significant project and programme management expertise along with experience of working within a programme management office or equivalent.    The ability to design and implement project management systems and procedures across organisational boundaries will be critical to this role

They will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal  skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of people.

Highly developed IT skills, technical financial and contractual experience, transformational design, quality improvement approach, impact modelling (finance and activity tracking) as well as medium to high level user of all Microsoft Office applications is an essential requirement.
