Be part of the transformation of health and care in Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest. The CCGs in Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest have come together under one governing body and senior team referred to as WEL CCGs. We are an exciting new organisation putting the needs of communities at the heart of our commissioning arrangements.

We are working with local people and partners across health, social care and the voluntary sector in innovative ways to improve health and wellbeing for all our communities.  Our key priority in the next year will be to develop closer integrated and collaborative ways of working with all our partners to implement our Out of Hospital Strategy.

We can only do this with great staff who are encouraged and supported, which is why we invest in them, listen to them, make sure we are representative of our populations and that we foster their health and wellbeing. If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to work for an organisation where your experience and contributions are valued then join us at WEL

Please note that all vacancies will be subject to a 6 month’s probation period in line with the CCG Probation Policy.

The effective management of property and the estate function has always been a major contributor to the effectiveness of the NHS.

It is also a major cost. In recent years the NHS sustainability and transformation planning has placed an increasing focus on the NHS estate in terms of suitability, sufficiency, condition, utilisation and enabling new, more agile, ways of working.

The amalgamation of Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest CCGs into WEL CCGs has been accompanied by the establishment of a WEL estates team.

This team will play a pivotal role in maximising the efficiency of the estate in use by the NHS in East London by coordinating with partners such as GP practices, NHS provider Trusts (Barts Health, ELFT and NELFT), the Local Authorities and the two NHS property companies (NHSPS and CHP).

There is a significant level of NHS capital investment planned for East London in the next few years and these roles will play a part in ensuring that it achieves the best possible result.

The projects range from the development of a number of new health centres to the redevelopment of Whipps Cross Hospital.

Experience of and an interest in the following will be beneficial for applicants:

  • client-side construction project management;
  • property and asset management;
  • and/or estates and facilities management.
  •

This is an exciting role in a dynamic environment and it will appeal to those keen to drive forward major capital projects to successful completion
