Camden’s population is diverse, growing and continually changing, and is marked by significant differences in health experience and outcomes between the most and least deprived communities. Camden CCG plans and buys health services for everyone in the borough. We are a clinically-led and member-driven organisation, made up of 34 General Practices.

Our vision is ‘Working with the people of Camden to achieve the best health for all’. Our mission is to working with our partners and the people of Camden to deliver health services that offer the best health for all, which are accessible, responsive and cost effective.

We are focused on the successful delivery, with partners, of two key plans; the North Central London Sustainability and Transformation Plan (NCL STP) and the Camden Local Care Strategy. The STP covers how health and care services will provide the entire NCL population with access to the best possible health, care and wellbeing services.

The Local Care Strategy is focused on improving the health and wellbeing of people in Camden through proactive, accessible, good quality care. The strategy sets out a shared programme of work to deliver an agreed single model of care for health and care services in the future.

Camden is a diverse borough containing both Hampstead Heath and its famous swimming ponds and the housing estates of Sommers Town, and is home to some of London’s most visited tourist attractions: the markets, streets and shops that have grown around Camden Lock and its associated music venues.

NHS Camden CCG has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and credible senior leader to join as the new Assistant Director - Community Commissioning and Transformation.

This is a vital role in our strengthened Primary and Community Commissioning team, reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer/Director of Primary and Community. We are seeking a talented individual who can work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to drive forward plans to transform Camden Community services.

You will take responsibility for the strategic commissioning and performance management of Camden CCG Community contracts and play a pivotal role in delivering a range of transformational and cross-cutting priorities for our Primary and Community Care Directorate.

If you have the commitment, motivation and skill needed to deliver an ambitious portfolio and improve outcomes for Camden residents, we’d love to hear from you.
